On March 28th, 2018, it was announced that Patch Adams, creator of NBA Jam: Tournament Edition, would be working with Creative Assembly to create a new league. His creation, “The Playground Games”, would launch with a pro-am-tournament using the Unreal Tournament engine. This league wouldn’t appear until mid-April at the earliest and so if you were hoping to watch such a league from beginning to end, the first one would be held on April 13th.
