The rest of the album could be their latest experimental soundtrack. If you are a fan of Alex’s guitars, shout out to his melancholic violin and horns on “A Dance With My Own Murder” and “Burn” – both of which were made with the aid of the Xbox 360’s voice functions. If you want to dig into Alex’s riffs, his band music is fun, progressive, and full of brilliant, corny lyrics. But like many of the other home grown and indie musicians I’ve met recently, it’s his songwriting that will make you see the guy for what he is: a talented musician capable of sparking your spirit. Have a listen
