Wet County Sheriff’s Office senior investigator, Officer Paul Ureal, described the scene at the back of Red Corn Tortilla.

“There’s a semi-truck jackknifing to the right, and there’s an SUV that’s been hit by a semi to the left,” Ureal said.

“The tractor is on its side, where the accident occurred, on the shoulder of the highway, so there’s a concrete divider,” he continued.

Ureal explained there is now a 25 to 30 foot path of fire and hundreds of yards of debris in all directions. Firefighters are still working to extinguish the blaze, and will remain until nightfall.
